Reck's Hotel Restaurant in Salem

A really good restaurant. The prices may seem daunting, but the food is worth every penny. Really good starting products that are expertly processed at a very high level. The kitchen staff knows his * her craft! The service is outstanding too. Particularly recommended: the homemade apple juice :)

The hospitality at Reck's is really amazing. Both in the restaurant and in the hotel. Your wishes are read from your eyes. The quality of the food and the breakfast far exceeded our expectations. We only have to make compromises with the room: we had an older room in the main building, which we didn't like. It was clean but really getting on in years. We were also a bit surprised that the hotel is in a small industrial area and on a noisy street. We didn't hear the street at night.

It's a very nice place with excellent food. We had booked breakfast. Plentiful and varied. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and very attractive. I can only recommend the Hotel-Restaurant Reck's.

Tops: Food & Service Really very, very good food with great service. The three sisters run the restaurant really well Flops: hotel bed We had room 4 for 2 nights. It looked like a nice old wooden bed. However, sleep was not to be thought of as it cracked very loudly with every movement. Other than that, the rooms are standard and nothing extraordinary. Therefore unfortunately 2 star deduction, although the food absolutely deserved 5 stars.

We had a very nice stay. The food was excellent and you could feel very comfortable even under corona conditions due to the spacious rooms.

Very welcoming staff. Great food. The hotel is charming in a old and cozy way. Immediately outside is not, it’s massive storage buildings. We were just slightly mismatched in our age and needs. The hotel are older people, I felt like I had to whisper to not be rude. I wouldn’t recommend someone younger than 40 to stay there as nice as our experience was. And really, we had a nice time. It’s perfect for families, and people looking to do activities in the area. Overall Lake Constance was a low light in our Germany trip. Once again, nice hotel, just not for us :)

We stayed 4 nights and dined 2 evenings at this establishment and we were delighted. The room (although "standard") was spacious and spotlessly clean. The establishment is well located 10 minutes by car from Lake Constance, or better by bicycle with plenty of very well-designed cycle paths that cross beautiful pastoral landscapes. There is a very pleasant garden with a large terrace. Meals can be taken there or in the 3 picturesque dining rooms. The restaurant is excellent, with dishes made from fresh, local produce in generous portions. As for the service, it is perfectly carried out with virtuosity by the 3 Recks sisters, all very dynamic and very kind. Well done to them!

Excellent food, delightful for the eyes and the palate. A beautiful garden. Nice and courteous service. And the corona hygiene rules are implemented here in an exemplary manner. A little oasis.

Sit comfortably in the pleasure garden in the evening. Enjoy the summer evening relaxed with tapas and a glass of wine with friends (of course by far).

I would like to give more stars. We were away for business reasons and stayed at the hotel for a week. It was very nice and the breakfast was great. You received so warmly and so it went through the whole week. Thanks again to all the staff there. I have rarely experienced anything like this, always very courteous, something nice and always had time for a short conversation. Thank you again and I can only recommend it further and it will definitely be considered when planning your next vacation

What a great place to stay! From July 17th until 21st 2019 we stayed in Reck's hotel for 3 nights. Our room was situated in the new building which was furnished very tasteful. The room was big and modern. The bed was of good quality and the showerroom had a rain shower. We also had the possibility to sit outside with a wonderful view on the garden. The service was great. Very nice personnel and super client friendly. For example: especially for me they fired up the sauna one night. Breakfast was very good. The last evening we also had dinner and it was really exquisite! I highly recommend this hotel. It has high standards for a more than reasonable price. About Salem, concerts at the castle are a very nice experience. The town itself is rather small though. Heiligenberg is only 20 minutes away and the guided tour at the Von Fürstenberg Castle is worth every penny. Also the Bodensee is about an hour drive away.

The Reck's Hotel and Restaurant both are top notch. My family and I are staying here at the hotel for two days. They have amazing art on the walls, sculptures and a great sense of design. The facility has a banquet hall on the grounds for larger events or groups. We had dinner last night it was elegant and of superior quality. I had venison with chantrel and crimini mushrooms and spaetzln. My wife had the trout and potatoes. Our children had stroganoff and veal. Everything tasted superb and was cooked to perfection. For dessert we shared a chocolate mousse with fresh fruit, it's was excellent. If you are in the area of the Bodensee Lake Constence and want excellent service, food, a lovely and quiet place to stay choose The Reck's. Pete C.

Just spent a week here while visiting Salem for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. As before, staff were always wonderfully warm, friendly and attentive, and the food was superlative. Breakfast was an amazing spread that included a wide range of fresh and dried fruits, selection of meats, cheeses, breads and even olives. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable, and the decor varied and interesting. The outdoor area is noteworthy in that the terrace dining is much less crowded than many such set-ups. There are beautiful pear and apple trees in the lush garden beyond the terrace, and benches and chairs strategically located around the place. The lake-side cafes and castles of Lake Constance are just 20-30 minutes away, and the hotel is 5 minutes from the delightful 'Schloss See' (Castle Lake) which with the giant wooden pirate ship and brilliantly-conceived kids' play area is a paradise for families. The hotel is ideal for families, couples or business travellers, and arriving by train is very easy as it is literally across the road from Salem station. Highly recommended!
